I got a glimpse at the seeding sheet from the coaches meeting. One school seeded PN 17th! And another 12th! Their top seeds were Davidson and Coffman respectively.
There was a big gap in total points between Bradley (5th) and Olentangy (6th) - then very tight through UA (13th).

Do some coach choose to play a 1st round game or are those games chosen for them if they aren’t at the seeding meeting? I could see some coaches wanting a 1st round game to work on things.
Are all coaches required to vote on the seeding order? What would be the consequence of not voting?

Coaches do need to vote and attend the meeting. Failure to do either means you go on the bracket last. Many coaches prefer to play that opening round, but the higher seeds have the ability to take the bye if they want it.

I find this all so fascinating. So, every coach saw how every other coach voted. Were the Davidson/Coffman votes old sheets from the early to mid 2000s? Kidding. Of course they are always great teams, but to drop Pick North that far when they are #4 in the STATE seems outrageously silly.
