What a night for some fun conference games!! Jerome goes down 1-0 early to Darby off a free kick, but comes back and wins it 2-1! Pick North and Gahanna play to a 0-0 draw. Sounds like PN had the possession and maybe even out-shot Gahanna, so that almost ensures a conference TIE. Olentangy ties Westerville North?! What? Won't hold on to their #4 spot next week is my guess. Beating Darby was a good win, but Darby handled WN, like 5-1... Davidson beating UA 3-2 sounds like a good game as well, but who knows with UA. The scores are all over the place. The update I got on Bradley vs Delaware was a 2-0 win for Bradley who outshot the Pacers a whole bunch to a whole little. Delaware keeper had some crazy number of saves and beat their school record? Nearly 20. That's nuts. Hey Bradley...it's a big goal, maybe don't shoot it at the keeper so much?
What a night - if you watched a game, tell us about it.

GAME OF THE DAY 9/21
I have to go with Liberty at Pick North. Canal Winchester at Davidson might be a good game, also. Do we have score predictions?

GAME OF THE DAY 9/23
Well, I'm coming to this late, after all of the scores are in - so I'm calling it UPSET OF THE DAY. Bradley over Gahanna. BirdofPrey notes that it was a PK goal, which isn't decisive, but is part of the game. Did Gahanna have a bad game? Did Bradley have a good game? Any add'l info would be great. It's clearly an upset, but not terribly detrimental to Gahanna.

I saw Gahanna and Bradley game. I think Bradley played well. Can't compare Gahanna play to anything but it was exciting at moments. Bradley's defense played well and keepers played well. Gahanna has some really good players. Bradley keepers had to come up with a couple very big saves to keep the goals at 0. Gahanna didn't have the set plays they may be used to, only one corner I think. Bradley had 9 corners they didn't convert.

Tuesdays Game of the Day:
Has to be Bradley at Jerome. Looks like this game has implications for the OCC Cardinal division. Both teams are 3-0-0; Bradley is coming off the Gahanna upset. I think this is the game to see. It will be interesting, one. If you are there and can give in-game updates, please do. soccermom, I'm talking to you.

I've been lurking but finally decided to register just to respond to this. Jerome will kill Bradley. We have better players at every position. EVERY POSITION. I know the Bradley girls and there aren't any who are top-tier Div I players, compared to the girls who can WRITE THEIR TICKET at Jerome. I am going to call this game at 3 or 4-0, Jerome. Easy.

Maybe... I guess the only game to really compare is the Liberty game. Jerome loses 2-1, Bradley wins 1-0. Not definitive by any means - I am sure those games could go either way. But for me, the Coffman loss is what makes me a little concerned for Jerome to win this game. Bradley has 2 losses, but to two state-ranked teams (Beavercreek and Anthony Wayne). And, they just beat a state-ranked team. While Jerome's 1-goal loss to Strongsville is an impressive game also and shows that Jerome can play pretty well with the big dogs...I can't say that this is a definitive Jerome win - which of course, everythinghurts, is why I gave it the game of the day. Will be interested to see if anyone else thinks this is a walk in the park for Jerome. Birdofprey - you saw Bradley last night, but have you seen Jerome play this year? Thoughts?

I'll take a pass on the Jerome - Bradley contest and stick with the comment not to read too much into the Bradley - Gahanna result. That game might change a few poll positions but that's about it. The balance of the season is conference play and tournament prep.
I'm a little skeptical of everythinghurts comments. It sounds like someone trying to motivate the Bradley players take it up a notch. I did think I was at a U10 game yesterday listening to the Bradley parents enjoying themselves on the home side. Everythinghurts could have easily been one of them.

I agree with that. Sorry. But I sure hope none of them are that guy up there...

There are a couple interesting games coming up on Thursday. New Albany at Westerville Central -- I've seen a hot/cold WC team this year and before last night wouldn't have thought anything other than NA will win by 3 goals, however, it could be a good game!
But, maybe the GOTD has to go to Grove City at Darby. GC tying Gahanna might be a hint that GC is ready to break through into the top tier. Darby is tough to beat at home, though.

OK, I was RIGHT. Just came on to say that and probably won't need to post again! But, to be fair to the poor Bradley goalie in the first half, she couldn't do anything on those goals and she did make some great plays and saves later in the half. They shouldn't have taken her out because she really started to figure out our offense. I felt sorry for her facing three goals in literally the first 13 minutes of the game. Her defense was nowhere to be seen.
That's out of the way - Jerome was better bigger and faster. PERIOD.
